"Former judgment is merely a judgment of perception and is of subjective validity only: it is merely a connection of perceptions in my mental state, without reference to the object."
Kant said that when you first make a judgment of something or someone, you merely just judgment them, it's a natural response of being human. so he think it is a piori.

I agree with Kant, i feel that you cannot help but judge someone. It is a natural thing that happens with every person you meet. As soon as you see someone the judgements just start filling your mind.
It is very natural just to make a quick judgement on someone or something merely from ur first observation or first time coming in contact. Most of the time we don't have nearly enough information to make that judgement, but we do have to keep an open mind for changing that judgement if necessary.
i agree with your saying but sometimes our first judgement of someone or something is so deeply craved in our head that it might never change!
I'm not sure that I agree with you on this. I think that quote merely means... former judgements (or something you have experienced before) are something that you perceived and therefore is subjectively valid because its based on your perception rather than being based on experience which would then be an objective judgment. When something is subjective it is only valid to that person or someone that agrees with them. Therefore, this former judgment is based on a bunch of perceptions rather than being based on the object itself.
i agree with kant and all of you, a man cant help but to judge on appearance rather than the object itself.
Brooke i agree with you that the judgment is based ob bunch of perceptions but i think our perceptions have to come from the object itself!
